Tibetan rugs have long been admired for their lush texture, soft touch and distinctive Tibetan weave. Hand-knotted of pure wool in the original style, this rug gives us an excellent interpretation of Tibetan mountain weaving.

Level Cut Pile: The best-selling type of Rug is textured cut pile.  Cutting looped Rug fibers at the top creates cut pile with yarn bundles standing straight.  Preserving cut pile several times creates a luxurious appearance.  Cut pile is less resistant to crushing than other types of Rug

Chowchow: chowchow is a highly twisted cut pile Rug suited for high traffic areas.  It has short fibers that tend to curl in different directions at the surface to hide footprints and vacuum marks. 

Cut and Loop Pile: Cut and loop pile combines cut and looped fibers.  It provides a variety of surface textures or sculptured effects.  Cut and loop pile Rugs are available in solid  or multiple colors.  The different levels in this type of Rug can hide dirt and footprints.

Level Loop Pile: Level loop pile is made by weaving even loops of yarn into Rug backing at both ends.  This type of Rug is very strong and track resistance because of its strong loops.  Higher loops create a more luxurious appearance.  Level loop piles with short and densely packed loops are easy to clean.  They prevent dirt from filtering into Rug.  This type of Rug is ideal for high traffic areas. 

Multi-Level Loop & Cut Pile: Multi-level loop and cut pile is heights vary (usually two to three different loop  and cut heights).  This Rug creates an appearance of random texture.  This type of Rug is good for high traffic areas but the smaller loops can sometimes hold more dirt. 

Fringe: We have had the fringe on each rug neatly pulled back under the rug and covered with a fabric them, allowing the client to leave it hidden or released.

Abrash: Abrash refers to the hue or color change found on many older rugs. The variations in color are usually the result of inconsistent dyeing of the wool, or through the introduction of a new wool batch while weaving the rug.  Abrash is a striated plush which resembles the sought out look of old that is very much received.
